It’s nearing Hallowe’en and for one man the October nights are getting colder, darker – and poorer. Killer Pumpkin poster

The organic Farmer used to nurture each pumpkin he grew, giving them a new and glowing life when he made them into lanterns.

Now he has run out of produce and can’t fulfil his soup orders, nor make more lanterns. He’s just got one pumpkin left standing between him and bankruptcy.

So the Farmer makes a deal with the Devil, who magics up new young vegetables…to be fed into the gruesome pulping machine by the demonically-bewitched Killer Pumpkin!

As Hallowe’en night draws closer and candlelit faces in the window flicker, will the Farmer and the Killer Pumpkin find enlightenment? Or will they be snuffed out by the forces of evil?  The (vegetable) plot thickens in this pulp-fictional fable of the ladle…

This original Hallowe’en shadow-puppet faery tale written and performed by Mama Tokus is for kids aged 8 to 80+, featuring songs and intrigue, magical imagery and folklore.

Clockwork Moth in support

A Song, A Tale, A Rhyme

South Devon-based artists Clockwork Moth will provide support for two of the performances: Totnes and Buckfastleigh.

These delightful shadow-puppeteers will perform their brand new shadow-short trio A Song, A Tale, A Rhyme, featuring the song Go Away From My Window, the tale The Three Billy Goats Gruff and the rhyme The Owl And The Pussycat.

They promise their show will be silly, naughty and sweet – for kids and adults who never really grew up.
